The Hudson Valley is waking up to a messy commute as snow returns to the region. Overnight precipitation is expected to leave up to three inches of snow in some areas, making roads potentially hazardous. Main roads and highways will likely have plows clearing them, but drivers are urged to exercise caution.

The National Weather Service had previously issued a blizzard warning for these areas, with snow accumulations less than initially expected. According to Daily Freeman, Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger cited "improved conditions" after the recent winter storm, although residents are still advised to be cautious.

Dutchess County Executive Serino described the storm as "dynamic and difficult," causing dangerous conditions for highway crews. As cleanup operations continue, more snow is possible tomorrow into Friday, although the system could shift south.

Residents are encouraged to stay informed through county websites and social media channels for updates on road conditions and any further weather advisories.
