Travelers heading to holiday destinations today should prepare for slippery conditions due to snowfall across the Hudson Valley region. Most areas will see between one and three inches of snow, with some spots experiencing up to six inches. This could lead to icy roads, making travel hazardous. Drivers are advised to exercise caution and allow snowplows ample space to operate.

According to Newsweek, winter storms are affecting travel plans across the United States, with icy roads reported in the Northeast. Meteorologist Michael Estime noted that forecasting these storms is challenging, as conditions can change rapidly. Estime emphasized the importance of focusing on the potential impacts, such as hazardous road conditions, rather than exact snowfall predictions.

In Wisconsin, WSAW reported that mild weather is expected, but the combination of wind and melting snow could create patchy fog. The next weather system is anticipated to bring a mix of snow and freezing rain on Friday, potentially leading to slippery spots.

In Montana, NBC Montana warned of a wintry mix impacting travel, with freezing rain and light snow expected over mountain passes. A High Wind Watch is in effect for certain areas, with gusts potentially reaching up to 60 mph.
