If someone were to wear a white dress to a wedding, you can bet other guests might shame them for taking attention away from the bride, but it turns out the same results might happen with other dresses as well, as one woman has learned. Someone posted a pic of the wedding-goer on Reddit, captioning it, "Hot wedding guests, but talk about stealing attention from the bride with that sheer dress!"
The image shows a young couple posing, with the woman wearing a long, sheer, lacy, red dress. The top half of it features a corset and the bottom is form-fitting under the overlay.
Many commenters agree with the original poster, writing things like, "This seems a little inappropriate for a family gathering. You have to dress for the event. It's a nice dress but not the right place to wear it," and, "Looks like lingerie." Another person said, "OOF, someone is making a STATEMENT with that dress! If I had a bod like that I'd dress like that every damn day. However, I feel like she's gotta have some beef with the bride, that dress way too hot for a wedding lol."
There were plenty of people who praised the guest and her fashion choices though. One stated, "I don't really understand why this is such a big deal. She looks stunning, depending on the dress code this could definitely be appropriate for a wedding." Another agreed, "I actually love this dress. It's stunning, the lace is long enough for it to be appropriate and she’s covered in all the right places. Sadly I could never fit into something like this, but if one of my gorgeous friends wore it to my wedding I’d tell them they look beautiful."
