Wolf Hoffmann has been the guitarist for German metal band Accept since 1976. The Classic Accept lineup featured Hoffmann on guitar, Udo Dirkschneider on lead vocals, Herman Frank on guitar, Peter Baltes on bass, and drummer Stefan Kaufmann. The band was important to the development of speed and thrash metal in the early to mid 1980’s. Accept achieved commercial success in 1983 with the album Balls to The Wall and the title cut became a well known hit. The album remains Accept’s only U.S. gold album. Accept has gone through various breakups and reunions with various lineups over the years. The band continues to record and tour, and they sound better than ever. Singer Mark Tornillo officially joined the band as Udo Dirkschneider's replacement in 2009 and the band has forged ahead. The band's last album was 2017's The Rise of Chaos.
