Happy Birthday today (July 2) to original Bush bassist Dave Parsons. He’s 54.
Dave Parsons met up with with singer Gavin Rossdale and guitarist Nigel Pulsford in London back in 1992, they added drummer Robin Goodridge and formed Bush. The band’s debut album Sixteen Stone was a huge success selling 6 million copies with singles "Come Down" and "Glycerine" hitting number 1 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. A remastered version of the album was released in 2014 to mark it’s 20th anniversary. Other albums included Razorblade Suitcase, The Science of Things, and Golden State. Singles included “Swallowed”, “Greedy Fly”, "The Chemicals Between Us”, and “The People That We Love”.
Parsons stayed with the band until their breakup in 2002. When the band reformed in 2012, he decided not to rejoin. Cheers to Dave Parsons on his birthday today!
