Where is the $1.6 Billion Lottery Winner from October?

Remember the huge Mega Millions jackpot from last October? The $1.58 billion jackpot? The winning ticket was sold in the small town of Simpsonville, South Carolina.

This winner, whomever it is, has yet to come forward and claim the prize. And this person has until 5pm on April 19th to claim the dough. So the clock is ticking? Is this person alive? Does someone actually have the ticket who still hasn't checked it? Can you imagine?

The KC Mart in Simpsonville sold the winning ticket sometime between October 20th and the drawing at 11pm on October 23rd. KC employee Jee Patel says that law enforcement agents were at the store at 6am the next morning and they immediately took the surveillance tapes away. What's going on here?

If the winner does not come forward, the money will be redistributed to the 44 states who participate in Mega Millions.

Here's a recent story about all this.
