Jackyl led by singer Jesse James Dupree and his chainsaw will make a long awaited return to The Chance in Poughkeepsie March 10. Tickets on sale Friday.
Hard rockers Jackyl formed in 1991 out of Kennesaw, Georgia and released a popular debut album in 1993 that sold over a million copies with singles like "When Will it Rain" and "Down On Me". The band is best known for the song "The Lumberjack" which features a chainsaw solo. I always loved Jackyl and have been waiting for this band to return to the Hudson Valley some day. Jackyl first played the Chance back in 1993 during the Z Rock days and they also played a show there in the early 2000's. Check out the video for Jackyl's "The Lumberjack" below.
Tickets for Jackyl will go on sale this Friday, Dec. 21 at Noon through ticketweb.com and the Chance box office at 845-471-1966.
