Happy Birthday today (Dec. 12) to Bruce Kulick. The former Kiss guitarist is 65. Also celebrating Y&T singer/guitarist Dave Meniketti (65), guitarist Dan Hawkins of The Darkness (42), former Allman Brothers guitarist Dickey Betts (75) and former Jethro Tull drummer Clive Bunker (72).
Bruce Kulick was lead guitarist for Kiss from 1984-1996. He played on the albums Asylum, Crazy Nights, Hot in the Shade, Revenge, and Carnival of Souls: The Final Sessions. He also appears on the Alive 3 and Kiss Unplugged albums. I am a big fan of 80's Kiss myself (primarily the Bruce Kulick era.) I unfortunately never did get to see the band with Kulick on guitar but did get to see the band in different incarnations many times over the past twenty years beginning with the classic lineup reunion of Paul, Gene, Ace, and Peter in 1996. Since 2001, Kulick has been the guitarist for Grand Funk Railroad. For more on Bruce Kulick, check out his official website here. Cheers to Bruce Kulick on his birthday today!
