Today (Oct. 17) is National Pasta Day.
According to National Day Calendar, National Pasta Day is where pasta lovers celebrate! October is National Pasta Month and on Oct. 17 recognizes National Pasta Day. Pasta is a traditional Italian cuisine, with the first reference dating back to 1154 in Sicily and first attested in English in 1874. Pasta is made from unleavened dough of durum wheat flour that is mixed with water or eggs and formed into sheets or various shapes.
With a last name like Rutigliano, you know I love my pasta. While i'm a big fan of traditional spaghetti and meatballs, my favorite pasta dish would be Penne alla Vodka. I typically like to mix shrimp into the dish. What's your favorite pasta dish?
