Happy Birthday today (Oct. 10) to David Lee Roth. The frontman for Van Halen is 64. Other rockers celebrating include singer Eric Marton of Mr. Big (58) and Lzzy Hale of Halestorm (35).
"Diamond Dave" David Lee Roth is one of the greatest rock n roll frontmen of all time. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with his Van Halen bandmates in 2007. In addition to fronting Van Halen, David Lee Roth has also had a successful solo career, releasing many gold and platinum records.
After more than decades apart, Roth would eventually rejoin Van Halen in 2006, and toured the U.S. in what would become the highest grossing tour in the band’s history. Van Halen released a successful comeback album entitled A Different Kind of Truth in 2012 and their first live album with David Lee Roth entitled Tokyo Dome Live’ in Concert was released in 2015.
