American Travelling Morrice to Perform Around Columbia County, NY, Berkshire County, MA, and Litchfield County, CT; August 9th – August 15th, 2026
The American Travelling Morrice, performers of traditional English morris dances, will put on more than 20 public performances in and around the tri-state area of Columbia County, NY, Berkshire County, MA, and Litchfield, CT from August 9th through August 15th, 2026. It has been over a decade since the group was last in the immediate area.
Morris dancing is a very old English country tradition. Since 1976, the members of the American Travelling Morrice, who come from as near as New York and Boston to as far away as California and England, have traveled to hundreds of communities in the US as well as England and Canada to demonstrate joyful, energetic, and colorful morris dances.
