Happy Birthday today (Jan. 10) to Rod Stewart. He's 74. Other rockers celebrating include Pat Benatar (66), guitarist Michael Schenker (64), singer Brent Smith of Shinedown (41), Donald Fagen of Steely Dan (71) and drummer Aynsley Dunbar (David Bowie, Journey, Whitesnake) is 73.
Born in London, Rod Stewart is one of the best selling artists of all time with an estimated 200 million records sold worldwide and he is a two time inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He was inducted as a solo artist in 1994 and as a member of the Faces in 2012. He achieved great success in the 1970's through the 1990's and also had successful albums since the early 2000's with the Great American Songbook series. Rod Stewart toured last summer and played a show Madison Square Garden in NYC. He's got tour dates lined up for Europe this year. His latest album (his 30th studio album) Blood Red Roses was released this past September. Cheers to Rod Stewart on his birthday today!
