Sunday, December 9: Tig's Rock Birthdays

Happy Birthday today (Dec. 9) to original Alice Cooper Group bassist Dennis Dunaway. He’s 72. Also celebrating is Green Day drummer Tre Cool (46) and Firehouse drummer Michael Foster (54).

Dennis Dunaway was original bassist for Alice Cooper from 1969-1974. He co-wrote some of the band’s most notable songs, including “I’m Eighteen” and “School’s Out”. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with other members of the original Alice Cooper Group in 2011 he released an autobiography titled Snakes! Guillotines! Electric Chairs! My Adventures in the Alice Cooper Group in 2015. Dennis currently plays live with Blue Coupe (Blue Coupe features Dennis along with Blue Oyster Cult alumni, multi instrumentalist Joe Bouchard and his brother Albert Bouchard on drums). Blue Coupe tours regularly showcasing the music of Blue Oyster Cult and Alice Cooper. Cheers to Dennis Dunaway on his birthday today!
