Happy Birthday today (Nov. 1) to singer Anthony Kiedis of Red Hot Chili Peppers. He’s 56. Other rockers celebrating include drummer Rick Allen of Def Leppard (55) and singer Joe Leste of Bang Tango (54).

Anthony Kiedis is best known as lead singer and co-songwriter for Red Hot Chili Peppers which he has fronted since the band’s inception in 1983. Kiedis has recorded all 10 studio albums with the Red Hot Chil Peppers as he is a co-founder of the band. Kiedis and his fellow bandmates were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. He published a best selling autobiography called Scar Tissue in 2004. Kiedis and Flea are the only original members in the current lineup of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their last album was 2016's The Getaway.

Rick Allen has played drums with Def Leppard since 1978. In 1985, he overcame the amputation of his left arm after a car accident, and continued to play with the band through it’s most commercially successful phase. He is known to his fans as “The Thunder God”. Def Leppard are one of the world’s best-selling artists with over 100 million records sold worldwide. Two of their albums, Pyromania and Hysteria, are certified Diamond by the RIAA for each selling over 10 million copies in the U.S. The band’s last studio album was 2015's Def Leppard. A 30th anniversary reissue of Hysteria was released this last summer and the band went out on tour with Journey.. Cheers to Anthony Kiedis and Rick Allen today!
